Senior Junya Liu was selected as the English Student of the Month for November.
English teacher Eric Schaefer admires Junya’s commitment to English class, both the unique opinions she shares every day and her ability to read past the words on each page to discover the perspectives lying underneath.
“Junya inspires me to be a better teacher and a better human,” Schaefer said.
Liu reflects on how she has grown as a person through her English journey.
“I’ve really enjoyed taking English at Fremd, especially AP Lang and Lit, because the experience has challenged my understanding of a variety of subject matters and allowed me to engage with a diverse array of lived experiences,” Liu said.
